Fort Walton Beach Opens Christmas Parade Entries; City Pages List Different Fees
Applications close November 24 for the December 7 parade. Confirm the entry fee before paying.

Fort Walton Beach is accepting entries for its Christmas parade, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday, December 7. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, according to the city notice and application. [1–3]
Route and entry requirements
The parade’s theme is Inside Santa’s Workshop. It will travel north on Eglin Parkway from First Street to Hughes Street. The event page says both directions of Eglin Parkway will close before and during the parade. [1–2]
The application asks for an entry description, proof of insurance and a signed hold-harmless agreement with the completed form. It lists submission to Parks and Recreation at 132 Jet Drive NW and says late entries will not be accepted. [3, PDF page 2]
Confirm the fee
The city’s October 30 announcement and downloadable application list a $35 fee. The main event page lists $50. Both amounts were visible when checked October 31; the discrepancy remains unresolved. [1–3]
Before paying, applicants can contact Recreation Supervisor Polly-Jo Pangelinan at 850-833-9580 or ppangelinan@fwb.org, the contact supplied in the announcement. [1]
